Austin Tactical Firearms is owned and operated by shooting enthusiasts, the first word in our slogan; we love what we do and our passion for the statement “the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” runs through the company culture. For those new to the shooting sport, you will find that it is a terrific balance between relaxation and focused determination. Shooting is an effective way to manage stress, scratch the competition bug, and defend oneself against the evil’s of certain members of our society. Those who love to shoot are typically some of the nicest, most hospitable people in our cities and towns. Austin Tactical Firearms is happy to serve those who love shooting sports, and educate those who lack understanding of the firearms industry. Our passion for shooting, and for shooters, deserves a place of prominence.
The staff at Austin Tactical Firearms are straight shooters. No sucking up to the brand names so we can get in their good graces. No pulling punches so as not to offend a segment that “loves” a manufacturer or methodology. We give you the facts of our tests, and tell you what we found works well, or doesn’t work at all, for us. Many times an author of a magazine will tell you all the specifications of a particular product. They can tell you every measurement in minute detail but they never tell you how well the product works, and more importantly, they rarely give a bad review on obvious junk. If you want sunshine and roses all the time, you won’t find that here. If you want straight talk, you’re at the right place. Results may vary, but our passion for honest answers will not.
Finally, we are accurate shooters. A conclusion is only as good as the facts used to determine the verdict. We will tell you the specifications of the parts we are evaluating, but then we’ll go further and tell you how well they work for the designed application. You wouldn’t drive your Ford Explorer in a NASCAR race; it is not designed for that venue. If you did, our authors would tell you the Explorer performed woefully on the track. Expect accurate information from us. We feel that is one of the best services we can offer our customers, since ultimately, if you don’t trust us, we fail in our mission.
